Jody brings a calm, clear, and compassionate approach to mediation, backed by strong legal expertise and real-world experience.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Commerce, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and a Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution. Jody began her legal career as Associate to the Honourable Justice Margaret Nyland in the Supreme Court of South Australia, gaining invaluable insight into complex legal and interpersonal issues at the highest level.
Jody currently works as a Principal Legal Adviser to a Member of Parliament in South Australia, where she is responsible for legislative analysis, stakeholder engagement, and high-level strategic advice. She is also on the panel of mediators for the Magistrates Court of South Australia and the Small Business Commissioner SA. Her mediation experience spans a wide range of matters, including civil disputes, small business issues, and family-related matters including care arrangements for children and property settlements.
With a strong interest in alternative dispute resolution, Jody also serves on the Law Society of South Australia's Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee and is a committee member of the Oakbank Racing Club. She believes deeply in helping people move forward by resolving conflict in a respectful, practical, and cost-effective way.
As a mediator, Jody draws on her legal knowledge and life experience — including being a mother of six — to understand people’s needs and support balanced, lasting outcomes.
